Time Skip
You were rushing around the flat that you and Jareth shared, trying to get all the wedding invitations ready and out the door before the mail man came to deliver the daily mail.
“Jareth! Where’s the glitter?” you called from the kitchen table, shuffling the cards together and yelped slightly as the confetti cannons in front of you shot off by themselves. “Augh! Not again! Jareth! My sparkles!” you called again, brushing the confetti from the table and cursed slightly.
Ever since you’d been engaged your fiancé had started changing. He was becoming a trickster, he used to be so straight forwards and serious, it was so annoying to you, if it had been any other time you wouldn’t have cared but since your wedding day was approaching you were getting so ticked off at him.
“Damn it Jareth! I need the glitter!” you growl, turning and jumping as he popped up in front of you. “Jareth?!” you gasp, patting your heart and gulped for air.
“Did my cannons get you?” Jareth questioned, holding up a container of sparkles and smirked.
“Yes, very funny. Jareth could you please refrain from playing pranks while I’m trying to get our wedding in order? I really won’t care if you prank after we’re married but lay off for now.”
“Fine… I’ll just prank my co-workers while we’re on our business trip.” He sighed as you put the finishing touches of the wedding invitations and followed you out to the mail box.
“Fine by me.” You snap the mail box shut, sighing and turning to him with a smile on your face. “Be careful while you’re in New York, okay?” you wrap your arms around his neck.
“Of course, Love.” He smiled, his blue eyes studying your face and swirled slightly to green. You felt your heart flutter slightly, ever since the meteor shower you’d been seeing more and more green in his eyes and you were just so into that. “And you behave yourself while I’m away.” He leaned to you and smirked as you rolled your eyes.
“I’m not the one who can’t operate a can opener.” You giggle, blushing slightly as he pressed his lips to yours and shut your eyes for a passionate kiss.
“I’ve got to go, Love. I can’t wait to get back and marry you.” He sighed as he broke from the kiss, caressing your face before rushing off to the bus stop. You waved as he got on the bus and vanished from view. Your ring caught your eye so you brought it up to stare at.
“What the-?”you questioned to no one. “I thought the jewel was a diamond, not an emerald… maybe it’s a trick of the light?” you scratch your head, shrugging and heading back inside.
