You finished eating the last bit of food, sighing contentedly and glanced at him. His green eyes were studying you, a small smirk on his face as he watched you, causing you to blush slightly and stare to the side. He laughed at this, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulled you to lay down with him.
“L-Loki let go!” you gasp, closing your eyes tight as he pulls you closer and twitched as he rubbed your back softly.
“You’re so jumpy… so, what does your family normally do at this reunion?” he chuckled softly.
“Competitions and catching up, really… today is the egg race…” you open your eyes slowly, glancing up at him and blushing at the genuine smile he was giving you.
“I do not see the purpose of a race with an egg…”
“It’s hard to balance an egg on a spoon and walk, then trade the egg off to your partners spoon.” You explain.
“It does not seem so hard to me…”
“Well since my partner hates me and everyone thinks we’re dating why don’t you be my partner?” you ask, trying to squirm out of his hold and winced as his grip tightened. ‘Right, god, more strength…”
“I’m afraid that would not be a wise idea…” he sighed.
“And why is that? Is the God of Mischief scared to play a mortal game?” you taunt, raising an eye brow and smirked at the nasty look he was giving you.
“Of course not… but Stella curse the games so she would win.”
“Well that’s not fair…” you pout.
“I can do nothing about it. You, Love, have the power to change that.” He sat up, pulling you to sit up and smiled softly at you. “One strike can change all that.”
“Mm…” you tear up slightly, torn between fixing what Stella had down and your own soul.
“You’re debating with yourself…” he sighed.
“O-one more, to fix what Stella’s done to the family…” you take out the match box, striking a match and holding it up. “Loki undo the curse on the competition, please.” You order, blowing out the match and shuddered.
“It is done. Fourteen matches and you’ll be all mine.” He laughed softly, taking the box and slipping it into your pocket.
“I don’t need any more matches, nor will I ever be yours.” You growl.
“We’ll see. You don’t know all that Stella has asked of me.” He smirked, standing and jerking you to your feet, laughing softly as you stumble into his chest.
“Did she have sixteen matches as well?” you ask.
“Yes.” He nodded, causing you to groan and collapse into him. “Are you just going to undo everything Stella’s done?” he wrapped his arms around you.
“Possibly… I guess it depends on the severity…” you sigh, nuzzling into his chest before pushing yourself away and glancing down at your clothes. “I guess I should change… so, are you going to be my partner?”
“I would be delighted.” He smiled, taking your hand and leading you to the hole in the wall. “Ladies first.”
“Um… how about you go first?” you suggest.
“You just fear I’ll look at your butt.” He chuckled.
“Sh-shut up!” you snap, getting on your hands and knees and started crawling through the crevice. You pulled yourself to your feet, wincing as someone sucker punched your mouth and sent you to the dirt. “Ow…!” you open your eyes slowly, sitting up and glaring at Stella.
“Bitch!” Stella growled, going to kick you when she was shoved back by him. “Loki why chose her over me?! I would gladly give myself to you were as she is nothing more than a frigid bitch!”
“This “frigid bitch” has done nothing more than try to correct the wrongs you have done and save you from me.” He stood between you two as you got to your feet and wiped the blood from your mouth on the back of your hand.
“Stand down.” You order, putting a hand to his raised fist and smiled softly. “Stella I don’t know what I did to you but I’m sorry. And you know what?”
“What?” she snapped.
“I’m not even going to try to be your friend again since you’ve already made your position clear. And I won’t back down. I’ll undo every evil thing you’ve done to others, even if it means selling my soul to that.” You jerk your thumb at him.
“That hurts, Love.” He chuckled at you, wrapping an arm around your waist and led you away. “Did you mean what you said about selling your soul to me?” he breathed in your ear.
“I-I’m not sure… again, it depends on the severity… so that might have just been a bluff…” you blush slightly, staring at your feet as you walked. “S-sorry…”
“We’ll see if that was a bluff, Love, make no mistake.” He chuckled.
